[Husker] Cut

I think you're right Steve. I started on the list back in the early
90's don't recall exactly which year but I think it was '94 when I first
realized there was an internet (did this list exist then???) -- now I'm
36. Listserv's aren't quite as popular with the younger demographic.
Rivals is where many internet discussions have gone I believe.

I've looked for rational listservs for the two other schools I follow
and have never found them. Only online "bulletin boards" -- and
although there's some good material there -- there is 20 screwballs on
the internet boards for every one here (and actually -- as of late that
ratio may be even higher -- pretty reasonable crew here currently).

Personally, I prefer being fed the messages than having to go out and
get them. Guess I'm getting old!

I think that this list does have an older demographic than most other
current Internet forums. One reason is that there are many who have
belonged since it was the only or one of the only such forums for Husker
athletics, so there are many who have aged with the list. Another
reason is that new participants may not come to participate because
there isn't an active associated website, so it is harder to find.
Related to that, most read the list by email, which has been eclipsed
for such discussions by web-based forums.
