The first football game I ever watched in its entirety (sic?) was the 64 OB. Dennis Claridge scored on a 72 yard run, wasn't it the third play of the game? I was the ripe age of 10, you can all do the math for yourself.
Re: Solich (who I acknowledged once as my HS drivers ed instructor during the summer of 69. I greatly appreciate his patience). I only know what others have posted here, but supposing he doesn't get the Minn. job... and also supposing he continues to enjoy some success at Ohio, isn't it likely he'll be considered for future coaching jobs; those with more visibility (and corresponding pressure and money)?

I'm 53 and first memories are of listening to KFAB in my back yard on the
farm in SE Nebraska. I remember Claridge, Duda, and Churchich, Wayne Melan,
and "Lighthorse" Harry Wilson. Listened for years before my first game at 16
(Colorado, when Jim Anderson was playing defensive halfback). Also remember
my church renting a color TV to show the Nebraska/Oklahoma game at the annual
Lord's Acre Day (Fund raiser).
