I would guess at NU home games there are more people there from outside
Lincoln than from in Lincoln. I live about a mile and a half from the
stadium and go past it every day. Yet, I haven't been to a game for 5-6
years. I would probably try harder but a great share of games are now on
TV. That and I don't think I have ever been in a stadium anywhere that is
more physically uncomfortable than is Memorial Stadium. I just don't enjoy
paying a minimum of $50 to sit on a plank with my knees in someone's back,
someone elses knees in my back, and packed in like sardines. I would rather
sit in my recliner and watch the game on TV. On the positive side there is
nothing like the atmosphere at Memorial Stadium.
