Jerry and group -

I'm 61. My brother is 71. I graduated from UNL in '67 undergrad and
'70 law school. I enrolled at Nebraska in Devaney's second year. What
a ride it was and has been.

Tony, I'm right there with you, coming up on 49, not quite up there with
all the AARP listers, but close enough to start working on my golf game
in preparation for the senior tour (now if I'd just had some talent to
begin with it would be a lot easier ). My first in person game was the
31-21 loss to Southern Cal in 1969. I do remember kicking the football
around in the back yard starting about age five or six and listening to
KFAB's scoreboard show giving final scores from around the country of
20-13, 13-12, 16-14, etc., back when kickers weren't as good and the
extra points and field goals were not a sure thing by any means.
Games against Dan Devine's Missouri teams stick out for 16-14 or 16-13
final scores back in that era. If a team scored in the 30's it was
considered a very strong offensive performance. Now in many
circumstances if good teams don't score in the 30's the offense played
poorly.
