How long would that field goal attempt have been? I can't remember for sure. 42 yards maybe? With the wind at our backs why not just try to kick that one? I know the punt worked with us pinning them down on the one foot line but it didn't get us any points and weren't we already down 3 at that time?

It seemed like we moved it some in the second half, but had several
miscues at inopportune times and couldn't sustain anything. The
playcalling didn't seem very good in the second half, although I
thought the pooch kick on the fake field goal was brilliant. It
seemed like momentum was with us then, and our failure to capitalize
on the excellent field position (Auburn pinned on their 1) was a
factor in the outcome.
