Doug is exactly right. Summerall is not a young man - 76 maybe? - and a 
recovering alcoholic. Obviously, his best days are long behind him. 
Having said that, he did much better than I expected. He didn't make 
nearly as many mistakes as I expected, and when he did he usually caught 
it and corrected himself. I recall watching a game he did a couple years 
ago (shortly after he'd gone on the wagon, I believe) and he was so bad 
it was painful to listen to. In his prime, I thought he was the best and 
he always seemed like such a nice guy, so I was happy that he didn't 
embarrass himself too badly.
