[personal] [Husker] whither Pat S

Pat Summerall never announced on MNF. He was most famous for announcing with John Madden when they both did the CBS Sunday games. Prior to Madden, he did games with Tom Brookshier.

Pat Summerall is lucky to still be alive. He has had a liver transplant and alcoholism damn near killed him.

Granted, he is no where close to as sharp and dramatic as he used to be, but I think he did fine.

Remember when CBS had Lindsay Nelson broadcast the Cotton Bowl every single year for something like 40 years in a row????

Hello Husker Fans,

Didn't he have a stroke not too long ago? He certainly didn't seem
like the MNF guy of old.
