[Husker] Mason Fired at Minnesota

I'm not real familiar with the AD. I was just reading the article where
he says, "'If we had not lost the way we had lost, I don't think we'd be
here today,' athletic director Joel Maturi said," which is why I thought
he was showing particularly bad judgement to pin it all on that game.

Even after an abysmal week for most of my bowl teams, though, I'm still
happy after watching that Boise State game. I was almost crying at the
end of that broadcast. Wow.

Josh, this wasn't due to one game in my opinion. Mr. Mason is better at
finding ways to lose games than other coaches I am familiar with. I
think the only things Mason is capable of doing well is recruiting and
negotiating his contract. He has been ripping off the U for too many
years.

The AD is virtually worthless as well. He has made so many bone-head
decisions, that I truly believe that he must go as well. The
administration needs an extremely proactive person in that position or
as head FB coach...guys similar to Lou Holtz (though I don't like him)
Barry Alverez(sp).
