You are definitely a glass "half full" guy.

Subject: [Husker] Good among the bad
I'll mention only one "bad' from today's game - it seems the rest is
already covered and I know more will be posted. Zac's pass interception
which took away a scoring opportunity, changed the momentum, and set up
Auburn's first score, shouldn't have been thrown (the receiver was
sandwiched between two defenders) and shouldn't have been thrown high.
But, despite the pain of another lost game that Nebraska should have
won, there is alot to be happy about. When you look at the team, from
the seniors to the freshman, this team has the talent to compete with
anyone and that bodes well for the future. There were concerns about
Cosgrove and his staff (based on their history at Wisconsin), but
despite stats that look average, I thought the defense played quite well
in all of the big games. I'm not yet sold on Cosgrove, but most of this
year's disappointments were not due to the defense. Finally, most if
not all of the bad things from this year are either fixable and/or may
be some of the bad luck that teams sometimes hit one year (like the
strange year of fumble-itis a few years back that sunk Nebraska's NC
chances).
Though it didn't end as we would have liked, it was an entertaining and
exciting year and there are many reasons to be positive about 2007.
Go Big Red!
Andy
