     Depending on what poll you use Auburn is ranked something like 10th and 
NU about 22nd.  NU finished the season at 9-5 and Auburn finishes 11-2. 
Plus, I doubt one could make a case that NU had a significantly tougher 
schedule.  This was certainly a winnable game but whether or not NU has the 
best team is arguable.

     The fake punt in retrospect was not the correct call.  It certainly bit 
NU in the backside.  But, I don't think in any game one can point to any 
single play and say that is what lost the game.  The fake punt was in the 
first quarter and there was a lot of game to be played after that.  I think 
what cost us the game is the offense heading South virtually the last three 
quarters.  We scored our second touchdown with 12:10 left in the second 
quarter and never scored after that.  That, to me, was the killer.
