[Husker] Things That Are Painfully Obvious

First let me acknowledge that fact that I am not a coach, but here is what I perceived:

1. Fake punt call against a quick team in that situation is inexcusable.

2. Auburn has a field goal kicker with range and we do not.

3. Auburn has a kickoff man (different than #2 above) that can kick it out of the end zone and we do not.

4. Someone from the coaching staff must either really like Marlon Lucky or Brandon Jackson is in the doghouse. Jackson comes in, gives a spark, and Lucky plays virtually the remainder of the game only to be run down from behind by defensive tackles and ends.

5. You should not lose if you hold the other team to under 200 yards of offense.

6. The last drive of the game I have a hard time figuring out. Two wide running plays and a shovel pass....................give me a break.

7. We can't put a guy deep to catch the last punt, thereby letting 15 seconds run off the clock...............but then again we haven't been able to field punts correctly all year.

8. Grixby...........thanks for your effort, but you just can't cover tall receivers one on one.

This is a tough one to take. We played well enough on defense, certainly to win. Take away the bonehead fake punt and I think we win despite poor offense and other questionable decisions on offensive personnel.
