Hello Husker Fans,

I was really wondering the same thing. I would not only wonder why,
but if SP DID call Osborne about personnel decisions I would want him
fired.  This is by no way a knock on Osborne, but he's long gone out
of the program and why hire an AD if he's going to call Dr. Tom every
time he makes a decision.

The leadership (word used lightly) at the University SHOULD go their
own direction and have absolutely ZERO obligation to retain previous
administration's staff.  None, whatsoever.

I'm not particularly fond of Stevie P and his blinding reflective
teeth, but not contacting T.O. before he fired someone is hardly
something to be upset about.

I have a good friend who played at UNL from 1996 to 2000 as a 2nd
string linebacker. He said he talked to Doak a few months ago (mid
season) and he just really didn't seem like his heart was in it
anymore. He didn't know why and it wasn't anything specific that Doak
said, just that it was clear he was not as motivated as in year's
past. That may have lead to his dismissal, I don't know. I doubt I'll
ever know and I'm OK with that.

This administration should always make their own personnel decisions
and owe us NO explanation why someone was let go.  For all we know,
there could have been a personal incident that BC and SP are
protecting Doak's name.   I'm not saying that's it, just merely
pointing out that WE DON'T KNOW!
