Wow.... I wonder why the people in my life were being significantly less
sanctimonious lately, and it turns out that it was because the Husker list
was sucking up the quota for all of Husker Nation.

Anyone who enters in the public's eye makes themselves a public figure,
worthy of speculation, and criticism or praise. This means that any kid
any where who puts on the uniform of a Division IA program has effectively
become a public figure. If they don't like it, then the best they can do
is keep themselves out of the news. Hey maybe even off the football field.

The Lucky situation worked itself pretty well, but mostly because Lucky
recovered. Had he not, the world around him would have exploded in
speculation. I would have joined in, maybe with a big huge sign. Maybe by
flying a banner over the stadium on game day. Maybe be making a sandwich
board, putting it on and walking up and down 'O' Street.

You can take the high road and look down upon the rest of us scumbags. You
can join us. You can watch from the sideline. It doesn't matter. Like it
or not, that's the world in which we live.

Anyone think Jay Moore can move himself up in the draft much further than
he already has? Maybe a good 40 time will give NFL teams the idea that he
can play OLB well.....
