And that's back to my original point. The blame lies not with whomever
is choosing NOT to disclose the information; the blame lies with those
who go ahead and make stuff up in the absence of information. I
applaud the Lucky family for not comprimising their own principles to
appease the ambulance chasers and the media sources who enable them.

As for scholarship athletes being "public figures" because the public
is subsidizing their education ... would academic scholars be presumed
to be "public figures" under the same logic? What about financial aid
recipients?
