The article I read said the games were shorter, on average, by 14 
minutes, from 3:21 to 3:07, and the number of total plays was also 
reduced by 14. I'm a bit surprised the NCAA hasn't followed the NFL and 
shortened the halftime. Seems to me you want to reduce the dead air, 
rather than the action.
