[Husker] Another One Bites the Dust? Gilmore Gone?

You also have to look at the experience and quality of assistant coaches
that come with a head coach. I was worried from day 1 about Norvell because
he was a coach in Oakland with Callahan and seemed to have so much talent
working with players and a deep knowledge of the offense. If you look
around at guys like Stoops you know he wasn't going to be standing on the
sidelines for long. The good news is that a guy like Callahan will replace
his assistants with high quality assistants.
There's also the type of head coach to consider. Callahan might be a guy
who grooms assistants for head coaching positions and attracts assistants
who want to go that route. As opposed to Osborne who had at least two former
players on his staff. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but keep
in mind the situation before extrapolating.
