     Thanks.  To me those were the really fun days of NU Football.  I 
think partially because I was pretty young having graduated from High 
School in 1968.  But, the other reason was NU was on the rise and no one 
really had any expectations that had to be met.  There was a new sheriff 
in town (Devaney) and he was making his mark.  Spirit was high and it 
finally looked like NU was doing to not only escape the doldrums but 
were ready to emerge as one of the best in the nation.  It was a great 
time.
