Yes but we all remember that Solich couldn't recruit so the fact that Bo won with his terrible players says alot. In fact with BCs four and five star recruits Bo should be able to win the MNC next year!!!!! Oh heck I am starting the celebration right now!!!!!! Humor intended.

My interpretation of the only available evidence so far (Alamo
Bowl)
indicates satisfactory performance.

I know a lot of people use the Alamo Bowl as an example of
Pelini's Head Coaching ability and it certainly turned out
successful at least as far as NU winning. But to me that game
really is nothing to base anything on at all. That wasn't Bo's
players that he recruited to any degree, it wasn't his staff, it
wasn't his program, and the like. That was still Solich's team.
What will be interesting is two or three years from now what the
program will be after Bo puts his stamp on it and it is indeed
his program, his players, his staff, his recruiting, his public
relations with him as the face of the program, and etc. That is
the unknown. The future is always an unknown to a degree but
with no track record it is REALLY an unknown. It may work out
great and I hope so but who knows at this point? There are a lot
of coaches that could take over an already established team the
last game of the season under an "interim" tag and win a football
game. That to me is no indicator of anyone's Head Coaching
capabilities pro or con.
Sincerely,
Bob Beach
