Contrary to my best instincts, I'm going to use an analogy that I 
like, knowing full well that an analogy is never proof of anything.

An employee is a dog in this respect:

The pedigree is what a dog should be.

Temperament + performance are what he dog actually is.

That is to say, a resume is what an employee should be.

Performance is what an employee actually is.

My interpretation of the only available evidence so far (Alamo Bowl) 
indicates satisfactory performance.
