I am going to have to disagree with you forever that NU fans aren't, in
general, more than a little special. I have always been impressed with
their overall level of respect for the opposing team. (Note: I did NOT
attend any home football games this year to experience firsthand the
vocal disatisfaction with the SP / BC regime and team.)

    I have said more times than I can imagine that Nebraska fans impress as
    far as treatment of the opposition and following the team.  Beyond that I
    don't see a lot of difference between them and any other fans in general. 
    I do think the latest coaching regime revealed a certain ugliness with NU
    fans.  But that really wasn't what my post was about.  I was merely taking
    fans in general and pointing out that rating fans is really an impossible
    job.  There is no leadership saying fans have to act this way or that way.
    Fans are just a group of people that support a certain team.  In that
    group are all kinds of people.  I really wasn't even trying to speak
    specifically to NU fans.
