The problem is there is really no way to rate fans...You take any cross
section of people, fans or otherwise, and you have good
people, bad people, and people that are in between that will sometimes do
good things and sometimes do bad things. I have seen posts here that rip
Colorado fans and other fans. My best guess is Colorado has its good
fans as well as those aren't.
If I had to guess the ones that get Colorado its "bad fans" reputation
are probably students. I know for a fact ALL NU fans are not exemplary
people nor are ALL NU fans bad people...There point is there is no way
after seeing a group of fans do something good or bad one can say "that
represents what fans of team X areall about". -- Bob Beach

Bob, your points are well-taken, but on a List like this I don't think
you are going to find a way satisfactory to all to go beyond "subjective
experiences." Isn't that really what we are trying to convey, anyway ?
I have had BAD subjective experiences at several CU games, compared to
good ones at nearly all other stadia I have visited in Big 12 (Norman,
Stillwater, Lawrence, to name a few.) I have attended many NU basketball
games at Devaney but never
experienced the kind of noise, loud epithets and general chaos that I did
at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence. Maybe some of it can be attributed to
passion-level of the fans.
I am going to have to disagree with you forever that NU fans aren't, in
general, more than a little special. I have always been impressed with
their overall level of respect for the opposing team. (Note: I did NOT
attend any home football games this year to experience firsthand the
vocal disatisfaction with the SP / BC regime and team.)
