In summary, if my humble opinion is weighted, I would dismiss all charges
against the "Creighton fans" as petty and without merit. Can we please
reserve our fan-bashing to European soccer?

The problem is there is really no way to rate fans. Fans are nothing more
than a group of people that support a given team if one is talking sports.
You take any cross section of people, fans or otherwise, and you have good
people, bad people, and people that are in between that will sometimes do
good things and sometimes do bad things. I have seen posts here that rip
Colorado fans and other fans. My best guess is Colorado has its good fans
as well as those aren't. If I had to guess the ones that get Colorado
it's "bad fans" reputation are probably students. I know for a fact ALL
NU fans are not exemplary people nor are ALL NU fans bad people. The
greater cross section are somewhere in between. I a lot of times see MLB
players when being honored say at the end of their career or something
will address the home fans as "the greatest fans in MLB". That comes
across as a nice gesture but it is certainly something that cannot be
proven. There point is there is no way after seeing a group of fans do
something good or bad one can say "that represents what fans of team X are
    all about".
