Actually, the entire post was:
" How about Mike Minter as a DB coach??"

And your reply:

"What coaching experience does he have? I don't understand why people think great players can be great coaches. If that were true, there would be no unemployed Heisman trophy winners, right?"

Which we've already established is not a great post.  (Don't worry, I've made a few of those myself).  I tried to think of a good analogy and one that pops out is Eric Bienemy (hated and despised though he is <joke>).  He had a career as a running back in the NFL for about 9 years, similar to Minter's...not stellar but a good solid career (especially for a running back).  His first job in coaching was as the running backs coach at Colorado.  He did a great job and moved on to be the running backs coach at USC.  He did a great job and moved on to be the running backs coach at the Minnesota Vikings.   We, of course, would hope that in the hypothetical instance of Mike Minter being hired as the defensive backs coach at Nebraska, we would do a great job and stay forever.

So rather than skepticism, it may be better to look on the suggestion with interest.
