You asked if a 75% winning percentage without titles would be a 
failure.  It's unlikely to have no titles with 75% wins, so that 
question is somewhat moot.  I do think if we somehow averaged 75% 
without ever winning even a Big XII title it would be okay.

To go a little farther (and maybe this is what you meant to ask), 
75% is an excellent average, and I would be satisfied with a lower 
winning percentage--if the academic all-americans keep coming, and 
the staff is principled.  How much lower, I'm not sure.  A 67% 
overall average (8-4) might be tough to be satisfied with.
