Sure they would have. There is usually only one or two undefeated teams and then only 3 or 4 more with one loss. As deep as KU went before losing they would have been in the top 5 and Mizzu would have surely been in the top 10 if not the top 5. It is not that unnormal for top teams to lose just for the #2 team to lose 5 weeks in a row.

I disagree with you on NU. If they go undefeated or have only 1 loss they will be towards the top of the polls. I had stated before the start of this season that any Big XII team that goes undefeated would play for the MNC and Kansas just about proved me right. The BCS conference teams will always get preference from pollsters over non-BCS teams. It is biased. And with NUs upcoming non-conference schedule we should start to worry that people are getting on the SOS bandwagon.

You forget the main reason why Hawaii is not higher - they started the
season lower ranked than any of these teams. Let's say a team like Georgia played
the same schedule Hawaii did and went undefeated. Because Georgia was a
tradional powerhouse - started the season with some expectations and a high
ranking - they would be number 1. Look at Boise State - after last year - they
gained a little respect in the polls at the start of this year. If they would
have gone undefeated - this year - with their 'easy' schedule, they would
have been #1. I think Hawaii has the same opportunity next year. Take the
reverse - I think NE has a hard time rising to the top next year. One loss will
blow much of their chances - depending of course on where they start, and if
the upsets continue like they did this year. I think it is hard to argue
against OSU and LSU - they did what they were supposed to do. I believe
Georgia will kill Hawaii - as Oklahoma should have done to Boise State. As long as
Georgia doesn't play like they are ashamed not to be in the big game - and
try to prove they should have been.

Yes, I mean no way OSU or LSU belongs in this game. This game is suppose to
be about the 2 best teams in college football. This game is not about that
this year because the 2 best teams are not playing in it. Here's why the BCS
is flawed. Entering the weekend, Georgia was the highest rated 2-loss team
in the BCS, Georgia & OSU did not play last weekend, however OSU rose in the
standings but Georgia dropped to fifth. Georgia should have rose to number
2. Then you have Hawaii, who is undefeated this season but because they play
outside of the 6 high-profile conferences they were not even considered.
(This is wrong). Instead both of these teams belong in the BCS game not LSU
or OSU. This game should be about the 2 best teams in college football and
it is Not. Instead it is about who the media wants to play in the game. This
system needs to change because is flawed.

I know most of you are going to disagree with me but think about it for a
minute. Hawaii was never considered a top school because they played a poor
non-conference schedule but so did KU. KU was undefeated in week twelve and
they were ranked number two in the country and were not penalized for their
weak non-conference schedule but Hawaii was penalized for theirs. You could
say if Hawaii was not penalized for their weak schedule they should have
been number three in the country at that time. They would have been number
one after last week because they went undefeated . Instead they get to play
Georgia in another BCS bowl but not the one that counts the most and the one
they should both be in.

I'm not lobbying for either of these teams but I hate it when people say if
you would play a tougher schedule then you deserve to be there. There are
many teams that do not play tougher schedules and they are still there i.e
OSU. In the old days there was no computers but if you were undefeated more
than likely you would play for the national championship. College football
today is about big bucks and sooner rather than later the championship will
not mean much. I just want the 2 best college teams to play for the
championship every year and this year this is not going to happen.

Do you mean no way?

That is true but the bottom line is that they still won the game and went
undefeated, which you can't say the same thing for OSU. There schedule was
not as strong as OSU but OSU did not to my knowledge beat a top 20 team when
they played. I believe Hawaii will beat Georgia handily because Georgia's
pass defense is poor.
There is now way that OSU belongs in this BCS game.

The difference is OSU manhandled it's poor opponents while Hawaii struggled
against a lot of them, IMO.
