Jeff, I read your entire post and liked most of it.  And while I think
Watson will do well, I just have to say two things I would say:

1) It is an absolute 100% MYTH that Watson was ever in control of this
offense.  Watson never called plays outside the first scripted set.  Watch
the games, every play after that comes from the QB running directly to
Callahan (with Watson working with some other members of the offense on the
side).  While I'm sure Callahan let Watson have more say in the gameplan,
playcalling was all BC, period.

2) I love the spread option attack myself (even Osborne has said he loves it
too).  To me, it's a modernized version of what we used to run.  It puts
defenses in 'react' mode instead of attack and it really allows you to
attack every part of the field.  Bo has already said that he wants a mobile
QB running a 'multiple' attack with a mobile QB, so I would really expect to
see a lot of moving around with the QB next year.
