I agree with this.  The whole "tie the game = NC" is revisionist history.  I remember the game and the aftermath quite well and no one was talking up this idea.  That game later.  I don't know who started it but it was quickly adopted by Nebraska fans to further emphasize the size of TO's nads in playing for the win.
