Duane's point about Bo starting to work with players right away if we had gotten into a bowl touched on something I have been wondering about. I am trying to remember another case where a head coach was fired at the end of a regular season, and the new coach was hired in time to coach the team in a bowl game. Granted, there might not be a lot of coaches fired after a season where their team is going to a bowl, but it's bound to have happened more than the one time we all know about. If Nebraska had beaten Colorado, and BC was still fired, would Bo come in and coach the team in the bowl? Seems like it's usually an assistant that takes the temporary reigns. Thoughts?

It is really too bad that we couldn't have gotten into a bowl game so that Bo could start working with the players right away. In any case, look for a stronger team since they will spend more time in the weight room. Maybe that is what the lines need anyway. [ng]
