[Husker] Why not Turner Gill?

Bob, I agree with you concerning your post. A couple of really bad decisions that TO has made:

TO also went for 2 against Miami in the 1984 Orange Bowl, when he should have settled for the tie and the National Championship.

TO also insisted on Solich, we could have Bobby Stoops.

His campaign for governor was awful.

I am excited about the new coach; however, I am very hopeful that TO's pick of Bo is not another mistake.

It's impossible to hold that against him. At the time Pederson was
hired, *everyone* thought it was a great hire. I don't think anyone in
the country could have predicted that he would soon be voted "enemy of
the state." He didn't reveal his dark side until he fired Solich.
After that, he didn't seem to do anything right.

Really??!! So why does anyone believe Dr. Tom always makes the perfect
hire then? How does Dr. Tom know what Pelini will be like 2-3 years down
the road? Look, I am a huge TO fan. I respect and admire him. But, the
man is not God Almighty. He is human and has faults and frailties like
anyone else. He is indeed capable of error as is shown with Steve
Pederson. I am just saying because TO hired someone does not mean it is
     the all in all.
