Bob,
You misunderstand, I don't dislike SP personally, just professionally. IOW, I am Professionally resentful of SP and what he did to the program [g]. (I'll start adding [g] from now on to suggest humor was intended, whether the reader realizes it or not. I'll even add the following comment:).
[g=grin or humor intended in previous paragraph]
Ignore history and it will repeat itself.
Seriously, we all deal with disappointments differently. There are those on just this and other boards who refer to SP as "The Man Whom Who Shall Not Be Named", "Lord Voldemort," another as "The Thing." You evidently want to pretend it didn't happen and to not think about it/him/TMWSNBN/Thing. Our actions/comments are not so much about SP or history as they are about our methods of dealing with disappointments. I'm simply not ready to let it drop. Please ignore my disparaging comments about SP and I'll ignore you ignoring him. [another g]
[g=grin or humor intended in previous paragraph]
FWIW, I no longer resent Bill Jennings and his "The Football team cannot feed the ego of this state" comment. I haven't brought it up in months. [g]
[g=grin or humor intended in previous paragraph]
Please lighten up, this is a message board, not death threats. Most of my posts are interjected with humor -- and some people even get it! (OK, maybe not the last part [g]).

[ALERT TO BOB AND OTHERS WITHOUT A SENSE OF HUMOR: This is intended to be a humorous post (as were my previous posts). My apologies to all who fail to see the intended humor. No death threats are intended nor implied. There is no guarantee written or implied that the recipient will actually smile upon reading my posts. There is, however, an unwritten guarantee that the writer will NOT do bodily harm to those referred to in the post (even Bob [g] NOTE: This last paranthetical inclosure is another weak attempt at humor).

Yes, Bob, we ARE that resentful of what he did to our football program.

Sorry to hear that Duane. I truly am. I don't like what has happened to
the football program any more than anyone else. But, I guess I would
like to think one can separate the professional from the personal. I
thought the decision to fire Pederson had to be made but that doesn't
mean I hate the man personally for the rest of his and/or my natural
life. Besides, bagging on Pederson will do nothing to change history.
