[Husker] SP and Buyout

If anyone is interested in the type of arrangement SP, HP, and BC had email me off the list and I will share my thoughts. They are disgustingly lurid and not fit for family consumption, unless of course you are the Manson family or Michael Jackson, or Senator Larry Craig.

But Bob, this guy took another AD job a month after he was fired. Too darn
bad that NU didn't have a clause in there about not having to pay him if he
took another comparable job. I still wonder if SP & HP weren't in some kind
of under-handed deal...it smells to me and I have hayfever.

As small a part of a Chancellor's job that the Athletic Department
is I can't believe Perlman would want to take that kind of chance
unless there was big time money in it for him somewhere. Something
like that, if proven, would likely be grounds for dismissal and
possible prosecution. But, who knows?

I think one thing people here are forgetting is Pederson's former
track record at Pitt was great. I am sure they can't wait to get him
back. We tend to judge his performance pretty much on football and
football alone. As was said here the Athletic Department at NU under
Pederson other than football is/was in pretty good to great shape.
The problem with football was I believe Pederson let his personal
feelings override his professional judgement.
