Yeah - I kind of agree - can't we wait to criticize until we at least have
something to criticize? If it is the song on the youtube link - that wasn't
horribly 'hiphopish' and kind of reminds me of the commercial on tv where
50cent plays with the National symphony orchestra after drinking vitamin water.
I have to admit though, I like the current tunnel walk, but I think the team
should drive that - and by team I mean the players. Remember how I think
Oregon lets the players decide which combination of the god ugly uniforms they
wear? Didn't the NE players in the past vote to wear the Black pants white
shirt to a bowl game? I suspect with the age and makeup of the team - there
would not be alot of call for a country or easy listening theme to the tunnel
walk! Although with all the NE walk ons, you never know! ( Just to let
everyone know - that was a joke as to how the whole country sees Nebraska - I do
know that all those kids from the state probably don't listen to country or
easy listening, as I understand all the guys on the team from big cities don't
just like rap)

Ummm...have any of you heard the new Tunnel Walk yet? Rush to judgment?
Also, there is no rapping....just a hip/hop beat.

Greetings Once Again:
Earlier I commented on the tunnel walk music... to which this reply was
made:
"A big part of me feels like this is just another example of criticism of
Pederson and the Nebraska Athletic Department for the sake of criticism. "
I am going to say right now I don't care if the AD is Bill Byrne, Bob
Devaney or Tom Osborne I would have made the exact same statement.....my
concern with hip hop music (and this seems to be documented by others) is
that it is a type of music and culture that promotes violence against law
enforcement, women and others.
Since the reply to my comment was made that "this is just another example of
criticism of Pederson......", I will say this and I may be entirely wrong
but somehow I don't think I am and that is that I highly doubt that Tom
Osborne would approve of this type of music (hip hop) for an intro to bring
the team onto the field.
It's getting pretty bad when people attempt to twist the words (that were
never implied) of another and make the statement into something it never was
intended to be. Following this message list over the past few years has been
frustrating and it is instances like this that make it so, and push me
closer and closer to unsubscribing.
