Correction: It was his first "walk" since the first game, not "strikeout".
He's had plenty o' them strikeouts.
Special Note:
Joba is the first player since 1900 to hold opponents scoreless in his first
8 appearances while recording at least 1 strikeout each time.

Heh, it was his first strikeout since the first game. He had 2 his first
time out. I think it was just nerves for his first Boston/NY series, it's a
different atmosphere.

I suspect that he walked the lead off batter just to get that ("first walk
given up in major league career") out of the way. then he was back to the
boring, old: strikeout, strikeout...yawn,
he does have a 0.00 ERA, right?
