In his Yankee/Red Sox in the Bronx debut, Joba pitched a scoreless 8th to
preserve a 5-3 lead.

Had a little control problem to start the inning, probably nervous for his
first Yankee / Red Sox appearance.

Interesting Note:

Joba's frame-opening walk was a full count and he threw about a 58 foot
slider for the walk. He had a full count with runners on first and second
and 2 outs (only the 2nd time a guy has reached 2nd on him) and Posada
wanted a fastball to avoid loading the bases. Joba shook him off twice and
wanted the slider and struck out the final guy of the inning on a pitch that
broke out of the zone. Just goes to show that he's not afraid at all up
there and he'll keep going to it.

Great work Joba!
