First of all, we don't know how good a healthy Zack
Bowman is, as he's been injured for most of his Husker
career (hamstring, knee, tendon). Is he the same guy
that arrived in Lincoln 2 years ago? And how
recovered is he from his ACL injury exactly? I've read
reports that while players can return to the field in
9-12 months after surgery, it really takes about 18-24
months to really return to form.

Personally, I think that if Bowman returns to form
this season, he and Grixby will start, with Murillo
being the top backup and playing almost as much. I'm
only speculating on Murillo since I haven't seen him
play and basing it only on his passing of Andre Jones
on the depth chart. People have been dismissing
Grixby ever since he arrived in Lincoln, whether it's
his height or that he's a native Nebraskan, I don't
know...but he's a much better player than some fans
give him credit for.
