The salt in the wound from that 1982 NU-PSU game was on a subsequent play when Blackledge one-hopped the ball into the receiver's mitts for a so-called touchdown.? We got homered bigtime that day.

On the thread of missed/bad calls...if I remember correctly, in the 1998 NU-Kansas State game in Manhattan a Wildcat player nearly decapitated Eric Crouch and no personal foul penalty was assessed for a blatant "face mask" violation. ? The picture in the Omaha World-Herald the following day showing Crouch's head darn-near 180-degrees off kilter -- chin between his shoulder blades -- was something I'll never forget.
