I see your point. Unfortunately, it's this kind of approach that still
does cause trouble. To me, everyone has pretty firmly come down on one
side or the other on the Solich question, and after 4 years I don't
see anything that's really going to change anyone's mind. To bring it
up further will likely do nothing more than "cause trouble", I'm
afraid.

I hadn't thought of that angle re: Callahan. That is a valid point.

It's hard to reconcile those two thoughts.
I was afraid you were just trolling, so I apologize if my initial
response appeared harsh. In my opinion, some old wounds should not be
re-opened. :)
