Depends on how you define "possible". I guess anything is
possible. I think over the Osborne years we got so used to challenging
for the NC we sort of got blinded to how difficult that really is. I
seriously doubt if this team goes undefeated they will win the NC. If
they go undefeated I doubt they will be in the top five barring some
sort of collapse by 4-6 other teams NU has to place in the voters minds
they are back to respectability before a NC is in view. This year could
do a lot to enhance that thought. If everything just absolutely clicks
perfectly I would see more of a lower top ten finish. But, to me, that
would show tremendous improvement.

Actually, this team should be no worse than 8-4 barring injury to
crucial players. I could see losses to Wake Forest, USC, Missouri, and
Texas with A&M being tough. The biggest problem is Missouri, Texas, and
Wake Forest are all on the road. The Huskers may lose to A&M but if
they do I look for them to pick up a win against one of the other four.
As others have stated this team could be 10-2 or they could be 7-5 or
anywhere in between and people shouldn't be surprised.
