     I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion but I don't 
understand why one would feel that way.  Jennings was 13-27-1 in his 
five year tenure at NU.  Back in those years if one would have stated NU 
football will one day be a factor in the National scene and in the 
Conference for the better part of 45 years they would have been 
immediately committed.

     That's true of all those guys.  They don't necessarily believe what 
they write or say.  They are out to sell papers, magazines or to get 
people to listen to them.  What kind of show would Rome and Cowherd have 
if no one ever reacted?  As in the T. J. Simmers case the very fact 
someone responded to him tells him they are reading what he wrote.  He 
doesn't care if people agree with him or if he makes people angry as 
long as people are reading his stuff and buying papers.  I always think 
it is a mistake to respond to people like that and try and set them 
straight.  When people do that they are telling them what they want to 
read.  That being, "you read what I wrote".  Beyond that they don't care.
