Husker List,

I'm excited to see that Cory Ross may be getting some opportunities in the
League.

I didn't see the game, but he had 11 carries for 65 yards against my beloved
Eagles: http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=270813033 (nothing
to see here but the box score. not even a mention!). Sure, it's
pre-season, but I hope it means he gets to stick around for a while!

Also, I've heard good things about Ola here in Dallas, though not recently.

Lastly, Carriker is turning out to be quite the beast in St. Louis. I hear
they are switching him to nose tackle? It made me curious - Nebraska seems
to have a really strong presence at the DE spot in NFL. Everytime I hear
Penn State, I hear 'Linebacker U'... but I don't see this translating into
NFL success (not that that's the ultimate measure of success). Meanwhile,
we've at DE, we've had:

Wistrom (just retired)
Rucker (starting alongside Peppers)
Kelsay
Vanden Bosch
Carriker
Moore...

...ok, a quick google search got me this:
http://nfldraft.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=534397. I forgot Trevor Johnson
and Bernard Thomas.

I really think that marketing Nebraska as DE-U couldn't hurt our recruiting
efforts.

Happy Friday!

GBR,
~m
