[Husker] Pederson Trashes Athletic Dept. Structure

I just realized that my post went only to Bob Beach.

"Here it is in it's entirety :

I'm a self-professed Pederson hater and I'm one of those who probably
will never forgive him for the firing or the arrogance he displayed
in doing it. And, I disagree with Mr Beach that it has nothing to do
with his performance today. It set the stage for the current state
of the AD that I think is still worse than it was when he took over.
I don't expect to be in contention for a national title every year
but, I don't think it's unrealistic to contend for the conference
title. So far, we haven't really done that under his tutelage. (Note
that I don't say this to dredge up the issue again, I just want to be
up front about it)

But, that said, I 'm hopeful these moves are a sign that he is trying
to move with the times. Though, on the surface, it reminds me of the
episode of Cheers where Rebecca couldn't afford to give the staff
raises so she gave them new/better titles. I hope it helps."

You will see I wasn't trying to rehash the firing, just explaining
why I don't think SP should be the AD at Nebraska. But, yes, I DO
mean I think the whole athletic program is in worse shape BECAUSE the
football program is. I see very little change in the other sports and
continued lack of real success in FB could lead to funding problems.

I also surmise that part of Mr Beach's motivation in defending SP is
that he really wanted Solich fired. I don't remember reading that so
clearly before.

I'm born and bred Husker and will always be a fan but I think Sp is
an arrogant bleep and BC has yet to show that he can really coach.
Recruiting is useless if you don't build those recruits into a
winning team.

Just like with my Harley, if you have to ask why I use Macs, you
probably wouldn't understand.
