[Husker] Pederson Trashes Athletic Dept. Structure

I hardly ever think about Pederson except for when his name comes up on this list.
But keep in mind wars are fought because of things that happened hundreds of years ago. People have long memories. I don't think we'll change it by asking the right questions (is Pederson basically doing a decent job now? Probably). I was shocked when I moved to the south and people were still a little bitter about the Civil War!
Fortunately -- it's just sports in this case. It's a distraction from our real world problems. If I people whine about a bad decision that a quarter back makes in a split second -- or they still remember the Redsocks Buckner play -- it's hard for me to believe people will ever forgive Pederson for the "event."

It did seem that the article was too benign for even the most avid Pederson hater to really take advantage of. I think the reaction you got has a lot to do with how polarized things are still. A couple of really good season's will help with that to an extent. Still waiting. It's fun to watch the recruiting battles though. That's actually my favorite part of EA's NCAA football dynasty.
Someone still has to explain to me what Pederson is doing presently that is so terrible. I am not asking if he is liked or not and I really am not interested if anyone agrees or disagrees with him. That is really immaterial. I would like to know if you take an honest assessment of the state of UNL athletics what is so wrong? It seems to me the entirety of the program is in a pretty good state with things going the right direction. No athletic director anywhere is going to win the conference title in every sport every year. If the NU AD is judged on whether or not the football team is National Championship caliber year after year then those are just flat out unrealistic expectations especially the way the rules are now.
