FW: [Husker] LP is still making news; along with some other noteworthy players

I have to admit, I loved watching him play.  After Johnny Rodgers, and Mike
Rozier; LP was one of those few performers that had that spark and it
saddens me to see that talent wasted.  He doesn't have a monopoly on wasted
talent, and I hope where ever he is now that things are looking up and are
on a positive direction.

LP could have possibly been a back to back Heisman winner. He could have
easily won both his junior and senior years. The guy had more talent in his
little finger then most people have in their whole bodies. What a waste. How
rich would he be right now if he had just behaved for 5-6 years. Lets just
say he wins back to back Heismans, he would have been by far the number one
pick in the draft and would have raked in millions. I wish I would have been
blessed with half of his talent.

the obvious potential, wasted. I recall at one point Osborne shaking his
head back and forth, saying, Lawrence could have been one of the greatest
ever. The start to his junior year gave me that impression, of a 2000 plus
season, national title, Heisman ....
