They seem to be coming around, though. You look at last week, and if it
weren't for Charlie Shirek having a truly awful outing against Wichita
State and giving up a lead, Nebraska would have been 4-1 against good
teams.

The bullpen hasn't been as reliable as it needs to be - and the offense
struggled earlier in the season, but they have won their last two Big 12
series, and their offense came up big last week against Oklahoma.

This Texas series is enormous. If we win it, we continue to climb in the
Big 12, and right now, Texas is easily on top the conference with Oklahoma
State. Missouri, Texas A&M, and Nebraska are right around the same
records, so we're close, but need to continue to play well. If we don't
win it, we'll take a step back, and we need to finish in the top four in
the Big 12, probably, to get a regional.

The Big 12 is currently the top baseball conference in the nation in terms
of RPI. Texas is 4th to 6th in the nation. They are very very good. Kyle
Russel for them leads the nation in slugging percentage and home runs.
