Buyer's remorse, maybe?
Ever been to Arkansas? I know several families who moved there (IBP
in South Sioux gets acquired by Tyson, moves many, many jobs there)
because of careers, only to move back to this area after a few years
because their family hated it there. For many, it's culture shock,
plain and simple.
