It looked like the ball was put where it needed to be, but that Lucky
wasn't ready for it. 

They were looking at Lucky's hand or wrist after the play.

As I recall, the replays clearly showed that Lucky never got the ball.

BTW, did he get injured on that play?

The game came out about where I expected it to.  The Huskers needed to
play nearly flawless ball and get a couple of breaks to have a chance to
win.

They didn't and they didn't, so they didn't.
