Nebraska looked like they were running in sand last night. I definitely see
a much improved team but the speed of USC on both sides of the ball was
painfully obvious. I know NU ran a one dimensional offence and I only get to
see one replay from one angle but it looked like the offensive line had a
real difficult time with the speed of that defensive line...They were barely
making the blocks on the draw plays where the offence already has the
advantage.
How about the yards after contact? The USC Tailbacks were AWSOME!! I know
that everything was working for USC offensively but how many one on one
tackles did anybody see last night. Balance, ability to make you miss,
SPEED!! Do the NU tailback posses any of these skills? One of our 5 STAR
backs has an issue with tripping over his feet in the backfield and in the
open. That was a freshmen running wild last night. Could any of our backs
crack USC's top three? I'm just starting my 4th decade of NU football. I
am no expert and I'm sure there is somebody out there who disagrees with
everything I just said so please put it out there. What am I not seeing?
