[Husker] Some Comments

I Agree with all of these comments and wanted to add one thing--okay, two
things. First, this team certainly appears to be moving upward. Compare
this with at KU or at home against KSU last year.
And second, this game reminded me of the Alamo bowl in that the team was not
intimidated even though even the great minds of the game like Corso weren't
giving them a chance going in. They fought to the end even when you could
see the Blackshirts wearing out, and with this kind of attitude the program
appears to be in good hands. This had to have been a good learning
experience, and they should have no problem with the North.
Also, the LJS this morning had nothing on Lucky's elbow. He didn't return
after getting it hurt trying to retrieve the fumbled handoff and had it
wrapped. Perhaps he's okay, and that's why there was no mention.

Amen Scott!
Hubby was livid at Callahan for not doing exactly what you have stated. I do
not understand a lot of the game, but I also saw where the penalties were
decidedly a major problem that assured sadly the outcome at least in my
naïve eyes of the game.

I think there is a glass half empty or half full
argument that could be made here. While we ran the
ball better than I thought, I thought our play calling
severely hampered our ability to win this game.
Personally, I think we played not to get embarrassed,
not to win. Or perhaps, more like played hoping that
USC would lose.
If Callahan had opened the play book in the 2nd
quarter like he did in the 4th quarter, I'd like to
think we could have made a game of this.
