[Husker] Big XII North

The Toledo-KU game was a wreck; I believe they both totaled 7 turnovers for
the game, with KU having 1 in each overtime. It was a 2-OT game and only 6
points were scored (how often has that happened?). Toledo scored on their
1st possession of the 2nd OT on a running play. The Toledo training staff
needs to figure out how to get their QB to stop cramping up, he cramped up
at the end of the ISU game and probably cost them that game; he got dinged
on one knee last night, and then cramped up in the other leg. KU has a
suspect defensive backfield, a poor pass rush, or a combination of both (see
Louisiana-Monroe game), they do have decent LBs, but that's it on defense,
their starting QB is a redshirt freshmen, and will be good as he gets more
experience, Cornish is their best offensive weapon, but Mangino forgot about
him as the game went on and depended on the below-average passing ability of
Meier. KU pretty much controlled the game in the first half, as in ball
control, but they couldn't score and it got them in the end. Just my
observation from Kansas.

As for the rest of the Big12 North, I'd say the biggest threat to Nebraska
for the North title is Missouri, they seem to be the forgotten player in all
of this. They do get MU in Lincoln, but later in the season with more time
to develop as a team (but so does NU). A lot of people have focused on ISU
for the North title, but needing 3-OTs against Toledo, and getting beaten by
Iowa today, and their schedule against the South on the road I don't know
how they were even considered in the running for the North title (or maybe
I'm putting too much emphasis on the pre-season garbage being spewed out of
my radio here in the KC). We've seen what CU has done, and they'll probably
get rolled by ASU today, and then Georgia. KSU has problems, their offense
is extremely inconsistent, and they're in a transition year. See above
about KU and they get KU in Lincoln, no way NU loses this game. Unless
Pinkel screws it up, and that's a good possibility, it'll come down to the
NU-MU game for the Big12 North. Yes, MU does have to go on the road to TT,
aTm and they get OU at home, but what have those teams done this year so far
that has impressed anyone? What has anyone in the Big12 done to impress so
far this season (other then the second half adjustments by OU)? Sad to say,
the Big12, both North and South may be a weaker than normal conference this
year.

My prediction, NU-OU in KC for the Big12 title, long live the Big 8!

As for tonight's game against USC, just hurry up and get here already!

Hello Husker Fans,

Anyone else notice KU lost last night to Toledo in OT? I watched
some of the game and it was a pretty good game all the way through.

Toledo? TOLEDO!? Can we just rename the Big XII north the Northern
WAC or something? Among mid-majors Toledo isn't bad, although
Saragin had them at #109 (Kansas was 91) before the game.

With CU, KU, KSU, and ISU all not doing so well, it really seems
apparent that it's going to be a two man race for #1 in the Big XII
North. Kind of reminds me of the Big XII :)

Oh well, we can really help the conference tonight with a win!
