[Husker] Managing My Emotions

I am trying very hard, but not very successfully to
(not) get my expectations up too high for the USC
game. I, want this game badly.
I think this Nebraska team turned the corner last year
when several players finally got it, the WCO that is.
The improvement in the confidence and timing of the
offense was amazing. A light seemed to go on in the
heads of several players all at once.
The defense is and has been solid even though there
are some concerns in the defensive backfield. I think
the defensive line and LB's can make up for some of
the DB short comings, and may be able to force some
turnovers.
Watching USC barely beat ASU and Notre Dame last year,
I think they are ripe for a picking. I'm expecting a
good tight game, and I know I'm setting myself up for
disappointment.
Is anyone else fighting their emotions as Saturday
nears?
Disclaimer for Steve: Any comments about concerns in
the defensive backfield should not be considered
"bashing, petty, or mean spirited." I'm sure they are
trying their best. lol
